MG Motor South Africa Rolls Out MY26 Updates for the MG3 Range

MG Motor South Africa has introduced a series of model year updates to its popular MG3 range, strengthening the hatchback’s value proposition through enhanced connectivity, refreshed design options and upgraded interior technology on higher derivatives.

Every MG3 in the range now benefits from wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, allowing drivers to connect their smartphones without the need for cables. The update is aimed squarely at making everyday in-car connectivity more seamless and intuitive, building on the MG3’s existing reputation for accessible style and smart functionality.

In line with evolving customer preferences, MG has expanded the MG3’s colour palette with two new contemporary finishes, Medal Silver and Andean Grey, giving customers additional choice when personalising their vehicle.

For MG3 Luxury derivatives, including the MG3 Hybrid+, the interior technology upgrade goes further. Two front central USB Type-C ports have been added, one full-function port and one dedicated charging port, improving device compatibility and everyday convenience. The previous analogue HD 360-degree panoramic camera system has also been replaced with a digital high-definition 360-degree camera, offering sharper image quality and improved visibility for greater driver confidence.

The latest round of updates builds on that momentum, adding further technology and convenience to an already compelling value proposition.

The updated MG3 range starts at R269,900 for the MG3 1.5 MT Comfort, moving up to R309,900 for the MG3 1.5 CVT Comfort, R359,900 for the MG3 1.5 CVT Luxury+ and R469,900 for the range-topping MG3 1.5 Hybrid+. All MG3 models are supported by a standard 5-year/150,000 km warranty, underscoring MG’s commitment to quality and long-term ownership value.
